A cross between a butter biscuit and a shortcake, the Abernethy Biscuit was invented by Dr John Abernethy in the 18th century as an aid to digestion. 

Ours are made by WFM Brown’s Bakery in Westray, and are an ideal accompaniment for cheese, or even our selection of smoked salmon products.
