Chichibu distillery is a small distillery with only nine full-time employees. It is owned by Venture whisky, which was founded in 2004 in Chichibu city, Saitama, just outside of Tokyo – hence its name. This Chichibu bottle is to commemorate the Modern Malt Whisky Market of 2015. From single peated cask, it is a worthy whisky, much like everything else that originates in Chichibu. Distilled in 2011, from exclusively peated oxbridge barley and bottled in 2015, this has been matured in single Hogshead #1404.
