Delheim is a sustainable, family-run estate involved in numerous social and ecological initiatives in South Africa’s Stellenbosch region. The Delheim Grand Reserve is a blend of traditional Bordeaux grapes and is a true masterpiece of a wine, that would easily compete with the very best Left Bank Bordeaux.
Dark ruby red in colour with a complex nose of dark fruits dominated by blackberries and blackcurrant followed by notes of tobacco and tomato leaf, fresh lead pencil shavings and cassis. The palate is elegantly poised with dark red fruit and smooth chalky tannins on the incredibly long finish.
Decanter for an hour before serving to allow the wine open up and reveal its layers of complexity fully.
