To be deemed an añejo, a tequila must be aged for at least 12 months. Tequila Herradura Añejo is aged for 25. Resting inside American white oak barrels brings out a deliciously dark amber color that perfectly complements notes of dried fruit, cooked agave and toasted oak.

Our richest expression, Añejo (“aged”) is an award-winning tequila crafted from the finest hand-selected blue agave, aged to perfection. Blending modern and traditional distilling techniques, añejo was first introduced to the world by Casa Herradura in 1962. Since then Herradura Añejo has aged in American White Oak barrels for 25 months – an incredible 13 months beyond industry standards. The result is a remarkably smooth, amber-colored liquid that melts on your tongue leaving notes of cooked agave, toasted oak and dried fruit, buttery notes of caramel and walnut and a sweet, creamy finish.
